Finally, after waiting for 18 months, we have sold our house. We had 8 estate agents commissioned to sell it, and it was on 2 different house selling websites. And I had a dedicated website just for the house with pix galore, dimensions, full descriptions and location maps. Even the planning permission recently obtained to attract buyers was fully shown, with architects drawings and perspectives. And still it didn't sell. We must have have had 50 separate visits by prospects in the 18 months, but we just couldn't drag an offer out of anyone. So we had to lower and lower the price, until a buyer finally bit, and the deed was done.
We are now able to up sticks, and move to France.
After 9 years living in France, near Poitiers in the heart of the countryside, we've moved back to England. We are in Margate, within half a mile of the sea, in a small development of new houses...........David Sefton
